How this works

Paste a playlist link (it contains "list="). The tool reads the playlist and its first 100 videos through the YouTube Data API. That costs a handful of quota units, and for a longer playlist the page says clearly that only the first 100 were analyzed.

Total and average duration add up the analyzed videos. It is the length of the content, not the time a viewer would spend.

Playlist shape compares the average views of the first third of the list with the last third. A large drop suggests viewers stop partway through; a rise suggests later videos did better. It is a loose signal only: older videos have had longer to collect views, and view counts are not retention data.

Private and deleted videos are invisible to the API and are skipped, so the analyzed count can be lower than the playlist length.
